Bubblr Activity
In this activity, students are asked to think about what has happened in the book so far and predict what they think will happen. This gets them more involved in the book and instead of just reading along they are required to really think about events and shape ideas around what those events mean (by predicting future events).
Students will go to http://www.pimpampum.net/bubblr/ and choose 3 images from flickr that represent events that have happened so far in the book. Students then need to find 3 more to represent events they think will happen. On each image, students should in one sentence a description. This initial part of the activity should be done independently. After, students will share with an elbow-partner what they came up with. Students can also save their creations and post them to the course website.

“And this shows that sometimes people want to be stupid and they do not want to know the truth.
And it shows that something called Occam’s razor is true. And Occam’s razor is not a razor that men shave with but a Law, and it says…
No more things should be presumed to exist than are absolutely necessary.”
